Whew, that title is a mouthful, but it’s a jam-packed episode of our podcast, so that stands to reason.
The really cool part is that Brittany Williams became our first ever repeat guest, and she told us all about the writing of the newest Star Wars short story anthology, “From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back.” Then we got into ALL the Mando talk.
Yay!
On the 52nd episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast, your hosts — Aaron Svoboda (@Aaron_Svoboda), Alfredo Narvaez (@NOLA_Fredo) and David Gladow (@davegladow) — welcome back Brittany N. Williams (@BrittanyActs) to the show to discuss “From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back,” which she contributed to with a brand-new L3 adventure, and the whole group reviews Chapter 11 (“The Heiress”) of “The Mandalorian,” the live-action Star Wars series on Disney+. Brittany talks about the process of creating her story, from her pitch, to the writing/creation (including how she named her new characters), to the editing … it’s a fun story to hear! After that, the group settles in to discuss the latest Mandalorian-heavy chapter of everyone’s favorite Disney+ show. Family and community continue to be major themes, but the group tries to answer such pressing questions as: Is the show working from a pacing perspective? Why does that big cameo make sense? Is the helmet thing finally resolved? And are we going to get more of sweater guy?
