On the 31st episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast, your hosts — Aaron Svoboda (@Aaron_Svoboda), Alfredo Narvaez (@NOLA_Fredo) and David Gladow (@davegladow) — dig into Season 1 of “Star Wars Rebels,” the animated series that takes place between Episodes III & IV. They talk about how good of a job the first season does of pulling viewers in right away, establishing its characters (and developing them), and pulling in existing characters. On that last point, they also discuss a rumored crossover movie involving a few fan favorites, and why that may NOT be the best concept to pursue. There’s lots of praise to go around for the creators of this modern Disney Star Wars universe … but there are also questions about what those creators can and should be doing going forward.
